Coachman has reported record sales at this year’s International Caravan and Motorhome Show, the biggest dedicated indoor caravan show in the UK. The Hull based firm outsold most of their competitors by retailing £6 million during the six day exhibition, which was held at the NEC Arena in Birmingham from the 16 – 21 October.
The show was Coachman’s most successful to date, as Jim Hibbs, Managing Director of Coachman Caravans explains: “We are delighted with our success at the NEC Caravan and Motorhome show. The market is growing because our customers do not appear to be affected by current interest rate rises. They are still continuing to prioritise their holidays and leisure activities by investing in caravans.
The entire range sold well, especially the new fixed bed layouts in the Coachman VIP and Pastiche range, as Jim explains: “The popularity of our new layouts confirms that we are providing exactly what our customers want. The quality of our caravans set us apart from our competitors, and customers are aware of our high standards the moment they walk into our caravans. High quality caravans are becoming increasingly popular and to meet this increased demand we intend to expand our workforce by recruiting more production operatives in the very near future.”
Coachman Caravans was established in 1986 and continues to operate as one of the leading caravan manufacturers in the industry. The company employs 141 members of staff and is in the final stages of completing a 29,000 sq ft extension to their Sutton Fields factory. The company strives to produce caravans of the highest quality and provides a superior after sales service. Their range includes the Amara, Pastiche, VIP and Laser.
