Laser 590/4 is voted Tourer of the Year for the second year running and the Pastiche 470/2 is voted Practical Caravan’s best 2-berth
For the second year running, Hull-based Coachman Caravans has triumphed in the most prestigious category of the annual Caravan Industry Awards and once again it’s the company’s top-of-the-range Laser 590/4 model that has won the admiration of the judges and seen off strong competition to clinch the coveted Tourer of The Year award.
The award, which recognises excellent design, outstanding build-quality and good all-round value for money, was presented at the Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show held recently at Earls Court in London.
It was a good week at this major event for Coachman. The company also stole the show in a separate and highly respected awards competition organised by the market-leading industry magazine, Practical Caravan, by clinching the “Best Two Berth” award for its Pastiche 470/2 model.
These latest awards are part of the continuing success story at Coachman and are a vindication of the company’s strategy to put quality first in all aspects of caravan design, manufacture and specification.
Coachman’s commitment to quality and its confidence in the future is underlined by the company’s £2.2 million capital investment programme, now approaching completion, to expand, reorganise and re-equip its factory on Sutton Fields. The extended factory will provide some 58,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and eventually create around 40 new jobs.
Commenting on the company’s latest industry accolades, Jim Hibbs, Managing Director, said: “This is simply wonderful news for the company and every single member of the Coachman staff who have worked so hard in building and supporting a first-class product range. To receive any award is always gratifying, but to win two highly respected national awards and to gain recognition, not only from Coachman caravan owners, but from fellow industry professionals is very special indeed.”
