Coachman reports 22.5% sales increase following 2014 caravan show success
Posted: 05/09/2014 Author: Jackie ShipleyFollowing three incredibly successful caravan show successes already this year, Coachman Caravans has reported a 22.5% retail sales increase across its Vision, Pastiche, VIP and Laser ranges. The significant surge in sales for the Hull-based caravan manufacturer signals the continuing recovery of the UK caravan market.
The beginning of the year is a busy time for the caravan industry with three large shows in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham. Coachman Caravans has had a presence at all three events and has recorded excellent sales, particularly across their new Vision range and their top end VIP and Laser models.
“With retail sales up over 20% in the first two months of 2014, we really feel that the caravan industry has turned the corner,” said Jim Hibbs of Coachman.
“The caravan shows are the perfect opportunity for people to compare models and to take a good look around layouts. They also give us the chance to explain the technical improvements we have made across the ranges, including the introduction of PU components and innovative bonded construction techniques. These things are incredibly important to customers. Buying a caravan is, initially, a significant financial outlay for most so, naturally, customers want to know they are making a sound long term investment in a quality product.”
Coachman’s best selling two-berth models so far this year have been the Vision 450/2 and the VIP 460/2.
Coachman’s brand new Vision range was showcased at all three shows. Accessibly priced, the Vision caravans are the lightest of Coachman’s models and embody the characteristic build quality and attention to detail that owners have come to expect from Coachman.
