Coachman Caravans has achieved ISO9001 accreditation confirming its commitment to quality of production and service.

ISO, the International Organisation for Standardisation, develops specifications for products, services and good practice, helping to make industry more efficient and effective. The ISO 9001 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, process approach and continual improvement.

Steve Sefton, Quality Consultant at the Hull-based caravan manufacturer, said: “Whilst we are delighted to be an ISO 9001 Quality Assured company, to be honest this only affirms Coachman’s ongoing dedication to quality that is firmly embedded in our very foundations.

“When Jim Hibbs founded the company back in 1986 he emphasized three words: quality, quality and quality. Quality of production, quality of service and quality of delivery are absolutely part of our DNA.”

However Steve is keen to point out that ISO accreditation supports Coachman’s promise to put quality at the very centre of its business.

He said: “Our quality standards are consistently implemented and we are regularly audited to ensure that it remains this way. If something is not working or can be improved, we have systems in place to bring such issues to light and implement any necessary changes.

“At Coachman we understand that buying a caravan is an important investment, which is why we put our very best into each and every one. ISO accreditation simply underlines that fact.”
