• Your Guide to the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC 2026

The Motorhome & Caravan Show 2026 runs at the NEC Birmingham from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 October, opening 10am to 6pm each day. The show fills 11 halls with new caravans, motorhomes, campervans, awnings, accessories and touring products, and it is where the 2027-season models appear before most of them reach dealer forecourts. If you are planning to compare them in person, here is what to know before you go.

Dates, times and where to find it

The show runs for six days, from Tuesday 13 October to Sunday 18 October 2026, open 10am to 6pm every day.

The venue is the NEC Birmingham, North Avenue, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT. The show occupies 11 halls, covering halls 6 to 12 and halls 17 to 20. That is a lot of ground, so it is worth looking at the floorplan before you travel rather than expecting to work through the halls in order.

By car, the NEC sits beside the M42 and is signposted from the M40, M42 and M6. By train, Birmingham International is linked to the venue by a covered walkway.

Standard parking is included with your ticket, and the NEC runs a shuttle bus between the car parks and the halls. EV charging and some alternative parking options carry an extra charge.

    Tickets and what they include

Booking in advance is cheaper than paying on the door, and the advance rate ends at midnight on 12 October 2026. Rather than relying on a price copied into an article, check the current rate and book through the official Motorhome & Caravan Show ticket page.

Tickets are date-specific and can only be used once, and a transaction fee applies per booking rather than per ticket. Standard parking is included.

Children aged 15 and under go free when accompanied by a paying adult or senior, but they still need their own ticket, with a limit of two free child tickets per paying adult.

Pets cannot be taken into the show. Assistance dogs are welcome.

What is actually at the show?

The October NEC show is the biggest chance of the year to compare new leisure vehicles in one place. More than 1,000 new-season vehicles are on display across the 11 halls, from over 80 UK and European brands, which puts the whole market side by side before most buyers would see the new models at a local dealership.

It is not only vehicles. You will also find awnings, touring and outdoor accessories, batteries and off-grid equipment, technology and security products, outdoor furniture, campsites and destinations, and technical and ownership advice, alongside a programme of free talks and demonstrations.

If you want hands-on experience, free caravan towing and motorhome manoeuvring sessions run throughout the show. They give new tourers a chance to try the basics with qualified instructors, and give more experienced owners a way to brush up.

    Seeing the Coachman 2027 Collection

The NEC gives you the chance to compare the latest Coachman vehicles in person rather than judging them from photographs and floorplans.

Coachman Caravans is in Hall 19 on stand 19.20. Coachman Motorhomes exhibits separately in Hall 9, so check the show map for the stand number before you travel.

The current collection covers the Acadia, VIP, Laser and Lusso caravan ranges, alongside the motorhome line-up.

There have been significant changes across the caravan collection for 2027. The Acadia is now 8ft wide throughout, the VIP has had a substantial interior and exterior redesign, the Laser line-up has been refreshed and the Lusso III gets a new bedroom arrangement.

Read our guide to what’s new in the Coachman 2027 caravan collection before you go. It gives you a shortlist of what to look for once you are on the stand. You can also browse the wider Coachman caravan range and motorhome range in advance.

Display models and stand arrangements can change, so if you are travelling to see one particular model, check Coachman’s news and events and the official show map close to your visit.

How to get the most out of a day at the NEC

Eleven halls is more than you can browse properly without a plan. If you are seriously considering a caravan or motorhome, decide which models and manufacturers you want to see before you arrive. A few things make the day far more useful:

    • Mark the floorplan before you start. Visit your priority stands first, while you still have energy and the stands are quieter.
    • Wear comfortable shoes. You can cover several miles between halls without noticing.
    • Go early, or midweek. Popular models get crowded at weekends, and you want time with the sales staff rather than a queue.
    • Take your tow car figures with you. The payload conversation is the one you cannot have properly from memory.
    • Photograph the model label before the interior. By the tenth caravan, similar lounge and bedroom photos become impossible to tell apart.
    • Write down what you liked and disliked. A quick note after each serious contender beats relying on memory at the end of the day.
    • Do not let a countdown make the decision. Show-only offers can be worthwhile, but the layout, weight and specification still have to suit you after the show ends.

The NEC is particularly good for comparison, so try to view competing layouts one after another while the differences are still fresh.

What to look at once you are inside a caravan

Do more than stand in the doorway and look around. Sit in the lounge as you would at home. Open the overhead lockers and drawers. Stand in the shower. Check whether two people can move around the kitchen, and whether you can get around the bed comfortably.

If you are considering a permanent bedroom, our guide to fixed bed caravan layouts explains the practical differences between island beds, fixed singles and the other arrangements.

Look at the weight plate as well as the visible specification. A caravan can have excellent storage and still have a payload that does not work for what you plan to carry. For buyers looking further up the market, our guide to buying a luxury touring caravan covers construction, heating, payload, fixtures and aftercare in more detail.

The show is your opportunity to test the things a brochure cannot tell you.

If you cannot make the show

Missing the October show does not mean missing the 2027 season. A dealership visit gives you more time with a specific model without the pace of a large exhibition, so use the Coachman dealer finder to find your nearest retailer.

The NEC also hosts the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show early in the new year, which is the next major opportunity to see leisure vehicles and touring products in Birmingham.
